Minelab xterra, Whites DFX, Notka Makro Simplex. Folks the price don’t mean everything, the question is are you willing to put in the time to learn the machine, experience will pay off I guarantee it.

I have an old Whites 5000 that I bought used in 1985, I think.
I also have a new one that my wife bought for me. I still use the 5000 though and it works fine. I have had to do some maintenance on it over the years but nothing serious. When I first bought it I sealed everything on it with silicon.
I am not sure how it would compare to the new multi bucks models but I have found a lot over the years.

Whites has come out with the MX Sport. This is a water MD built pretty much on the principles of the MXT. This is the newest model Whites has come out with I believe. You can see videos on Utube. I use the MXT ALL PRO and really like it.
