Monte over at the AHRPS forum would be the "go to guy" for that specific model.

An article in W & E I was just reading said to turn the sensitivity down and something else but I don't remember what.

What T C said.

You are kind of battling 2 separate issues, but a smaller coil like the 5.3 eclipse or 4x6 shooter coil could help with both problems. Try lowering sensitivity 3-5 bars down from max. Be sure to ground balance when first starting out and you can re-ground balance by going to PP then right when you click back into disc mode, bob the coil up and down. In very trashy, iron laden areas I have actually jacked the disc up to just below where nickels drop out and use single tone It actually works very well if you get tired of hearing the "busy" 8 tones in trashy spots. In areas of heavy iron trash the 2 tone mode works very well at unmasking good targets. I usually run zero disc or just -95 blocked out.
