Any one,
Die hard Whites person and need anyones advise on the Surf PI Pro detector. Majority of use will be in river environment detecting for coins and tokens.
What is your advise on this machine for this type of use?
What about other manufactures?
Looked at a Tesoro Sand Shark, what is your feelings on this detector?
What about other underwater Tesoro detectors?
Do you have any suggestions?
Your advice and input on this subject will be taken as solid advice.

Thank You

49er, the machines you want info on are PI machines and are very deep. That said, do you want to dig deep holes for iron as PI machines have very little discrimination. I would highly recommend a Minelab Excalibur 1000 for it's max depth and iron mask ignore. It puts out 17 different frequencies not like the other VLF's. The Sand Shark is a great machine and good on batteries, but again it is a PI. It's brother the Tiger Shark is another choice with inter changeable search coils and also the lifetime warranty.

Fisher offers the 1280 and the step up to the CZ20 which has been discontinued. However the prices for a used one are climbing. It ground balances, has permenent salt water mode and three different tones to id the target. Almost as deep as the Excalibur.

Whites BeachHunter ID II is also in the running with three tones also to id target.

Hope this helps some,
Sandman
