Hi,

yes I've owned one for about 7 years. It's performed well. I tested it by burying lead sinkers of various sizes. At 12" deep, it beeped for even a silver dollar-sized piece in Southern Calif. soil.

I wish I had gone hunting more often, but time didn't permit me to.

However, I even used it in heavy rain in Pacific NW and it located a piece from what I surmise was an old stove about 18" deep.

I thought water damage might have caused it to stop working, but I couldn't cleant the battery terminals as suggested in the manual. I sent to White's HQ asking them to clean the terminals, or repair whatever might be broken. White's could have told me it needed expensive repair, but they were honest about the battery pack terminals. Instead of cleaning them, they replaced with a new battery pack connector, and returned it all very promptly. If I recall correctly (I don't have immediate access to my records), they either didn't charge me or the cost was nomimal.

I plan on using mine in the field again this year.
