Brought a great excal at an amazing price 750. Of course there was the issue of one head phone not working. I heard grey ghosts were ideal. Now who here can mod this bad boy.

OBN does them but he has shut down for season while he detects

Dave in Kellyco ' s Minelab repair is out of town right now but you can contact his brother Barry at Kellyco, he can do them...

I suggest the Grey Ghost Amphibians. ....Kellyco Sella them..

It's not as hard as you may think. Would you consider doing the mod yourself? With the know how I mean

I have a pair of blue ML headphones that came off my 1000 when I did the gga/pp mod myself, that have good sound. They are much better than the yellow newer ones. All you will have to do is remove end cap and unplug your headphone and plug in these and replace endcap. Remember to clean and lube O-ring when reassembling. This will fix the problem if the headphones are bad. Do you have a multimeter and know how to do a continuity check? This would get you going until Old Beechnut opens back up in the fall.

Wow Fletch88! If you pull this off you'll be responsible for saving three machines out there. I see a big chunk of gold karma peppered with diamonds coming your way! You're a really cool guy!! Sent from my iPhone using TreasureNet

Hey I hope you're right!!! It's been long enough! I had the coil and, headphones sitting around after putting mods on my Excal. The cracked AA battery pod came with my 1000. It works fine for wet sand and probably wouldn't leak in shallow water. I like to help people out when I can.

I'm sure it will come back around but will you remember when it does is the question? It may not come as what you hoped for or as soon as you'd like but charging up your karma for its time is never a bad idea.
