This is a pig one of my sons shot here in N. Cal. It's a Russian cross and was pushing almost 400 lbs. One shot with the 30-06 brought him down although the armor plate didn't let the bullet out the other side of the pig. The "Happy hamming" comment on the pic is because he had this posted on a ham radio site. There are quite a few pigs where we hunt. It's a total of 5500 private acres and has pigs, turkey, deer, some quail, dove, ducks and geese. There are 12 ponds on the property with bass, catfish and crappie in them.

The pig got consumed. He had great roasts and hams but the sausage wasn't that good. All the other pigs that we've eaten from out there had delicious sausage.
