I have been trying to train my lab(Willow) to hunt sheds for a couple of years now and she seems to be getting pretty good it, had her out this morning and she came across this! Not a shed but it had antlers!! Rest of its remains were scattered around by coyotes.

That’s what we call a dead head. Nice find. When I lived up in Washington (n/e corner) it was one of the best places to shed hunt, if you’re willing to put in the work. What made it so great was the fact that I would go out looking for Deer, Elk and the elusive Moose 🫎 paddle. That was the ultimate find.

The evening before last 6 bucks came out of my woods heading for another farm. Two were monsters. All still had their racks. It shouldn’t be too long before they start dropping. As soon as they drop, new antlers start growing. That’s when the bucks start hitting my mineral block. They will come every night until Aug or Sept to get minerals for their growing antlers.
