Winter Stubble Field - Day 5 & Winter Bean Field - Day 3....

Spent 3 hours on the Winter Stubble Field until Dad complained about not finding anything. So we finished the gridding against the next tyre track. At this stage I had 1 Jetton, Watch winder, furniture piece, and other bits.

Dad wanted to try the middle of the Winter Bean Field (next door), I said we should stick to the bottom corner where the archeology is. It didn't take long to get a couple of roman bronze coins & a pin head.

The larger bronze coin is an Emperor we need
Brass Dupondus
Titus AD73

Dad finished the hunt with a lucky strike on the way back to the car, a complete & still ringing 'Rumbler' Bell. Medium type which normally gets smashed up.

How deep in the park was this emperor figure?

Got him new, so not that deep in the shop.

I did as a kid, sold most of them now. I'm a collectaholic.

Its the two Archie fields I'm afraid. Already spotted the open holes of the nighthawk. Thankfully I have helped them recover most of the finds. I predicted it & it happened. Forget archie hunting lets get the guns out for the hawkers.

Hey Cru, nice finds. See that you are still up to the task of digging the buttons too. What is your running total for buttons in 2008?
Nice cast thimble, you don't find those all the time. And Cru-Dad found a nice bell that is for sure....

Don't keep count of buttons, but it might be over 1000.

The bells are always a good gift to the farmers, as it has a farming connection
