Wisconsin river find

About 4 inches below the sand in a shallow area. Trempeleau river in Trempeleau County. Any one have any ideas on what it is and how old it is?

Sorry, it's about 6 to 7 inches long and it is wood

My first thought was part of an old wood and iron ice skate (with metal parts rusted away). But I can't tell from the pix if the wood is wide enough.
