;D :coffee2: :tongue3:  branhams_04, you have the name of Chief Branham and "the People' at
"the Settlement" at Bear Mountain in Amherst County... 1/4 Monacan; and Pocahontas is my granny, back a few generations. There IS a "mound' of interest on Tobacco Row Mountain, near SACRED ROCK, about 2 miles northwest of Bear Mountain, which is privately owned now. Sat on that rock, prayed and wrote a song... THAT area is SACRED and haunted by the OLD ONES... really a creepy place, according to my wife. We lived up there for about two years; I LOVED it... she did not, so... we returned to the "flat lands"... :D

Pound gap is national forest. I haven't done any detecting in powell valley but I have seen a few people swinging the detectors there. My nephew attends uva wise. He loves it.
