Swung a back gravel parking lot for a high school .....Bunch of clad.... Averaging 4 to 6 inches. And this broke off piece of some kind of pendant... Fake diamonds ... no silver or gold as a surface find. And a token that on one side said family fun and on the other side says family entertainment is copper. But had a good time in the sunshine. Spotted an old house off the highway.... More like a one room house Shack.. Swinging it in the morning ...all close to my house. Electrical Contractor slow time of year so I get to go pretty often.

You sure can tell it's dead of winter by the posts. Not many people detecting this time of year.

Nice finds Sweeper. That gravel frustrates me something fierce. Glad that you have more patience than I do. GL&HH.

hate the gravel it tends to get packed and turns rock hard here. and on top of all of that, it is rough on the coins. but, it is better than a stick in the eye and beats finding nothing by a long shot and so I do it occasionally.

A good tool for digging targets in gravel is to take a BIG BEEFY flat head screwdriver. Sharpen the end to a point. Just twist it as you push it into the gravel.

the tool I carry is a welders hammer, all steel with the round spring handle;point on one end and a one inch sharp taper on the other..do also use a flat screwdriver and a ground down pick axe with short handle during winter..
