I'm building a water scoop that I have had in my head for a while. I've owned a lot of scoops in the past and all had metal handles.
My home brew scoop is going to be aluminum with a stainless lip. I am still up in the air about what to make the handle out of.
I hated the idea of having to keep a rope attached to the scoop in case I dropped it and was wondering if you guys with wood handles have the same problem?
I know wood floats but does it float enough to keep the handle in reach? Do you still have to have a rope tied to it as I do with my all metal scoops?
