As long as you are happy with it then it was a good deal.
 

Try to get a picture w the whole box in the frame. It’s hard to see it in photos posted. Something about makes me think it was a military box of some sort - maybe a WWI item

I was also thinking this, looked like ammo crate or something to me.
 

AARC is right. Its the tackle and lures inside that would make the money. Early lures go from dollars to the stratosphere I think the record is well over 100,000 dollars. correct me if I'm wrong?
