Today I spent a couple chilly hours hunting an old house site back in the woods. My best find was an 1878 Indian Head Cent - it's a little toasty, but I'm still pleased with it. It's been a while since I've found one of these.

Like other IHCs I've found, this one only rung up in the low 60s on my AT Pro. These things are a big reason I always dig midtone signals - I find an awful lot of shotgun headstamps and pulltabs, but once in a while I'll get something cool like this, too.

Thanks for looking - HH!

ScaredOfClowns,

Nice IH find!

Like you, I dig everything in the mid-tone region 50 up. If I'm in parks, schools and ballfields digging lower numbers do yield some very nice small gold finds! Of course you tend to find more trash!

Regards,

Doc
