Went out with Tnet member JoeBro to a really old park with a colonial past today. I’ve found great coins and relics at this park but it’s huge, rocky, wet and hard to hunt. Thursday, I zig zagged the woods by myself and did ok, today we found one coin between the two of us. I had my 15” coil on (bad idea) so I thought I would do ok. All I found was a pair of flat buttons, a pair of musket balls, an aluminum 4 hole, parasol slide and 75% of an old gold signet ring.

Thursday’s hunt with my 11” coil got me a partial shoe buckle, smashed tombac button, Bancroft trust banking token from the 1920’s, 2 - 1925 buffalo nickels, 2-1934 wheaties, a junker ring, a hat pin and some overall buttons.

And as a added bonus picture: last weekend I found a sterling watch bezel, I didn’t post it because I’m laaaazy

Woods hunts are also my favorite and it is treating you very well! The sterling watch piece is very sweet!

I've been lazy at posting too! I found a seated dime yesterday so I feel like I have to post hahaha

Nice hunt indeed. I love hunting the woods in the spring and fall. No bugs, brush and lots of light. I got a sterling watch bezel last year in the woods. How deep was yours? Mine was on the surface after I kicked the leaves back. Thought for sure it was going to be a can lid..

Some nice finds. Looks like you are keeping the coil to the soil as I have seen here on Tnet. Always enjoy seeing your finds and pics. Congrats!
