I've been woods hunting 6 times and found 1900s barber half,1903v nickel,1901 indian cent and some junk. The v nickel and indian cent were under the half. They were just under the surface on the side of a hill. The indian and the v nickel had corroded from tuching together.I think the v nickel and indian had some kind of multiple personality disorder.who was supeman.I read his last post.

Nice finds. The corrosion pattern on the IH and the V is interesting, I assume due to the way they were resting against each other underground. Did you clean the back of the IH at all? It looks great.

Congrats on some great coins RD. I'm still waiting to find my first in the woods.
I did find a lantern piece like yours last week, so maybe the coins will follow next? ;D
Awesome hunt.

The half looks great..even the other two coins are in good shape compared to the way coins come out of the ground around me.

Congrats and HH.
