I never heard of being able to order Ikes. Probably one reason why they carry a little bit of a premium?

I don't think you can. It would be listed as a $1 coin order, and you'd end up with the Sacagawea or other small dollar coins. YMMV though :)

Generally most of the bigger ordering companies can sell banks bags of $1000 face. The problem is, most of them have to physically call it in, online or paper order forms won't have it on there, but yes, most do have a way to order them, you just have to convince them to order it for you. As for results, it really just depends on luck. A lot of silver Ikes may be dumped from people who take them in at Cash 4 Gold places who reject all Ikes.

Your odds of finding silver are slim, but you can search the Ikes for varieties. I just found a "talon head" Ike the other day. There are a few doubled dies, as well as the "friendly eagle" variety and 1972 type 2. An Ike expert could probably rattle off a dozen others.
