Took my GTI 2500 to an area known for activity during the Revolutionary war. Used my 12.5 Imaging coil and all metal mode, first encounter I had was light signals on the left side of my sweep....it took a few minutes and then figured it out I was holding my digging tools in that hand. I started putting my hand behind my back and took off the fishing vest I was wearing full of things like batteries and a small saw to help. I started picking up some very old small nails at 8 and 9 inches (the kind of stuff you have trouble finding after digging). I thought about turning down the sensitivity but what the heck for I was there for deep relics!!
Does anyone know if Garrett makes a longer shaft for tall operators so maybe I could get the coil away from me while using it in this mode, it just seems so sensitive and I dont want to have to hunt in my underwear to keep metal away.

Prospecting
Many recommend hunting with sensitivity at around 6-7 to minimize "false signals" (random signals)
With All metal mode and 12.5" coil you should still go pretty deep
