If you've read Lisa's thread, then you know what a day we had! If not..then here's the link..

http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,148919.0.html

After helping her gather/dig up all that great stuff, I managed to find a few keepers.

1960 Rosie
Two 1945D Silver war nickels
A Buffalo nickel
Ten Wheats, the oldest being 1910
Two tax tokens, one from Bama and one from Louisiana. Guess that find was preparing me for the LA hunt in April! :icon_biggrin:
A neat Fob..has "Think Safety" on the back
Two miners' tags
A lead seal with what looks like the number 85
A neat locket that says, "This is your life"
Change
Hem weight
buttons

100_0787.jpg

100_0788.jpg

A Navy button? Don't have a clue on the era...anybody? Still has the round shank, but it's so crusty, I can't read anything on it.
100_0786.jpg

And these things were everywhere!
100_0792.jpg
And the pocket watch, and the fork. :)

And the junk....

Had a fun day!

Nana

Those are tax tokens, JC. One's an Alabama and the other is Louisiana. :)

Nana you and Lisa look like treasure magnets. You have been kickin some serious arse lately. Congrats I looked at Lisa's post also and I love the marbles and tanks. I could almost picture the kiddies playing in the vacant lot umpteen years ago. It's wild how the privett preserved the finds from the lawnmower of the years. Looks like I want to be far away from you at LBH you are on fire girl... :D

Yesterday I found a Navy button like the one you have here. I'm in Chambers Co. Texas. The area that I am hunting in date from 1827 To the 1850's. Most of the things I find date around 1820, to 1837. Found a lot of Republic of Texas buttons, "Army, Navy, Marine Corp., Inf. and lots of flat buttons dating to the 1820's. All the Republic button dates around 1837 to 1839. Congradulation on you finds.
