WW II Button

Today I got permission to hunt a local church yard. Although I didnt find any silver or jewelry, I managed to snatch up one of these neat little WW II brass eagle buttons amongst the clad. On the reverse it is stamped "American Emblem Co Utica NY". It is in really nice condition. Its about as big as a quarter. I'm pretty sure this was a button from WW II but I'm not an expert. If anyone knows exactly what it is, please feel free to share your knowledge. Thank you. Bryan H.

except my backmark says New York,
and was made in Englnd.
