some items lying close to a former german trench. interesting the french rifle grenades and the german "Taube" on the right side.

Wow! Now that is interesting. VERY interesting that they would let you climb down in a hole and excavate (?) some of the ordinance that you have there.

And no, no detector is used, in france that stuff is lying on top, besides what's in tunnels and holes.

French Fort,...... Actually those ones were pre WW1 but used in WW1 until the last man. Today most nobody know. The french as well have a great way to handle those things, let all treees grow the way they want and people won't find it. LOL

That's the reason you need old military maps where trenches and forts are marked.

Great story.

Its been ca90 years since the WW1 ended, and still live ammo are everywhere........
