My mom sent me a box of coins and miscellaneous things for my birthday. It had this pin of helping to win the war lone scouts of America. One sold on eBay for $400. But mine has the actual pin part broken off. Should I try to find the pin and have it repaired? Or sell the medal as is, and what would you ask for it?

Wow, I'd a never guessed a pin like that would be worth that kinda money. I would think repairing it may make it less desirable to a collector, but who's to really say unless your one who's willing to spend that kind of money to have one. It must be rare to come by?

It seems like it would sit on line for ever or I'll get a $32 offer. Idk. We will see.

Thanks all for the help.

Love old Boy Scout stuff. I'd keep it as is unless you can find the identical pin attachment, any other would be detrimental to the piece.
