Cool piece of history indeed. It looks as if William Graveson Dixon (born 5th September 1895) emigrated to America at some point after he was demobbed from military service in Britain. He seems to have died on 11th Aug 1973 and is buried in Swan Point Cemetery in Providence, Rhode Island. Couldn't find an obituary for him, but I get blocked from many US sites because of my European IP address.
