A lot of World War 2 ammunition including Mines and other live objects have been removed from our Treasure coast beaches... Leftover from training for the beach landing at Normandy.

back in the 60's the scout troop I was with camped in the area of seal beach, Ca (can't remember exactly where) & we would find 50 cal shells all the time -- live and expended.

UXO was what dissuaded me from working my very first site more than I did. That and the wildlife, anyway.
