Can anybody identify the enamel insignia on this ring? It seems to date from around World War II. The inside is marked Sterling and engraved ?Arthur Carlson T23055?

I?m not sure if the Egyptian theme relates to the service or organization, or if it was just a stock design from the ring manufacturer.
