Hey everyone. Just spent too much on a xlt e series from a user on here and for some reason it is acting nuts. I used the factory setting- coin, coin and jewelry and the others and have done the air/ground balance. Once that is done I take off and this thing goes nuts the whole time. It will go off on crap that's not even there and will just start going off every time you move and even stationary. I tried a different coil and that's not it. I am seriously bout to go crazy. Does anyone have any ideas. Please help before this thing gets introduced to the Arkansas river bottom

Check the manual for the reset function. This resets the detector to factory specs. I think the seller might have been playing with the settings. The reset should work. If you don't have the manual, go online to Whites and download one. Frank hand print-2_edited-5.jpg

Call Whites. They are very helpful. I have the XLT. I think it is the best general purpose detector out there. Mine is going on 10 years old with no problems. hand print-2_edited-6.jpg
