Xterra 505

I have not read much about the 505 model here, mostly everyone touts the 705. I don't have a detector right now, I've owned several whites machines in the past and I get in and out of the hobby. I have the bug again and was thinking about the 305 or the 505, is the 505 worth the extra $? I live in CO and mosltly coin shoot with and occasional trip to the coast.

I would go for the 505 over the 305 every time. The additional features of the 505 alone would do it, but the 305 not being able to run 3kHz would put it out of the running w/o another thought.

Thanks for the info, I would not get the 3khz coil but would go with the 18.5 for gold and the beach. My last unit was the M6 which btw I loved.
