tide never got as low as Id like - but made the best of it
got some silver early- 2 silver relig.medals - 2 silver dimes - silver quarter and a buffalo

hour after low I ran to another spot a little while - was surprised when I looked in my scoop and saw the
old gold class ring - sucks that emblem is missing - was trying for newer stuff but locals been hammering here all summer long
was surprised at the amount of quarters they missed - some had been there awhile - also got a deep small silver

I have a higher tolerance to cold water than most - right now waters are around 65 degrees - I will wear a sweatshirt over a tee shirt with lycra under swim trunks
gloves and dive boots - a few days I threw on a neoprene kayak/dive jacket - that keeps warm into Nov. usually
I have other wet suits as the waters get colder - and can hunt right thru winter with the right combination of gear

Congrats on the silver and the gold, liking the Dino ring also it's a different one.
Seriously I look at the photo above and there's nothing, remotely, appealing for me to go there! I'm just not a cold water person. :) I need another hot cup of coffee to warm up again after looking at the photo again. My hat goes off to you Casper for your cold water adventures.

Some more great finds C2!! How long will you water hunt this fall? Will it be water temp. or air temp that makes it uncomfortable for you? You certainly can't complain about your recoveries this summer. WTG & HH, Q.

Cant complain on finds for the amount of time Ive been out = like half as much times as last year at this time I think
Of course I wish I had more gold - but I am in this for the hobby first - I like finding silver - I like finding relics whether 1600s or early 1900s
In cold water - with the right gear - I usually will get tired before I get cold
of course if I get into a good spot with silver and gold - it will warm you up and keep you going longer
when younger - you'd have to drag me away sometimes - older now I'll usually hunt 2-3 hrs when waters are colder
or if finds are scarce

I used to get out a lot - people always used to think I was retired - I work nights and used to land hunt right after work
in the Spring and Fall - and would water hunt after work in the Summer - used to be able to get by on limited sleep
- getting old - need a little bit more so don't hunt after work much more - just on my weekends
been lucky to have had something to post from almost every hunt this year though - Ive gotten silver and/or gold
from just about every water hunt this year - hope it continues
