I haven't posted anything in a while, I've been searching just not finding. I'm in a bit of a dry spell but it takes persistence to research and find new sites. I got out yesterday to a late 18th century site I discovered randomly a couple months ago & found some nice early relics to add to my collection. I was really hoping for a nice coin from this site but finds are starting to be slim (they lost a lot of buttons, why not one coin!) Yesterday was the first nice day in a while, I'm sick of the heat! Looking forward to some upcoming Fall hunts & hopefully finding some new, productive sites! nice.png nice2.png nice3.png nice3a.png nice4.png nice5.png

Excellent finds, the buttons are really nice. What's the date of the wheat cent top left? It looks like it could be 1922. If it's a 1922 with no D mintmark it's a key date.

Beauty button my friend. Looks like you're in a nice spot. Is it as dry there as it is here???? It's been incredibly dry here. I'm a supervisor for a general contracting company and we only had 3 rain days this summer that caused us to lose work time. That's pretty insane.

It's been very dry. This spot was in the town I grew up & they got a fair amount of rain the week before otherwise I wouldn't have dug here (a yard of a modern house). The ground had been so dry in SC some of it is impossible to dig

Thanks for pointing it out, I don't see a D! I will finish cleaning when I get home & post the results. I guess I need to start paying more attention to the wheats!

Dude, if that turns out to really be a 1922 no D, I will vote banner. Even in a bad grade like G4 it's worth over $500.

I really hope you have a winner!

I like the design on the back of the first flat button. Never saw one exactly like it before.

Man, after I posted I googled both the 22 and 28 wheat cents to check. I was sure hoping it was 22. Oh well, next time!
