I went to the creek and then down stream. I saw boot prints so I wasnt expecting much. Somebody else has been in my creek. But he did miss a couple of things. The gravel bars were looking good but didnt hold much maybe on the next rain something will appear for me.
I did find a piece os a stone bowl but dont know the material of it. Its to heavy to be pottery. HH, rock

Hey Rock was there just foot prints or had someone been flipping stuff over and digging around. Nice finds either way:thumbsup:

Nice hunt buddy! Boot prints are a great sign, honestly!! When I see boot prints, I know I'm not wasting my time hunting that area. That stone bowl is odd. It looks like red paint specks on it. I thought it was quartz tempered painted pottery at first glance. Cool piece!

Those are great finds! Maybe the boot prints belong to someone who was just walking the creek and didn't realize the treasures there! ;-) Love the pottery shards and betting the stone bowl was real nice and maybe you will find the rest of it next time.

Thanks everyone. Who ever it was they did a good job of removing most everything and had a dog. The stone bowl is unusual due to its weight and yes it has red flakes of something in it. I guess it could be pottery but its quite heavy in weight. Its the first piece I found like it if it is pottery. The next show that comes through my area I will take it to see what they say. The quartz point has some damage on one side but with all of the cobbles in the creek its a wonder it wasnt broke into pieces. I hope everyone is doing well in their hunts, rock

Your Creek is probably safe.. sounds like it might have been just a hunter.

Yeah could of been a hunter cause they do lease out the property on both sides. Pose to rain tonight hope it does. The creek needs a good washing.

You run into some very pretty pottery pieces with designs on them!

Thats the ones I save. I do pick up some plain if the pieces are bigger and have good color.
