Yesterday's trash and treasure

Found these yesterday at a local school yard. Mostly junk, but some interesting treasure mixed in. Found a bottle of Carmex for cold sores on top of ground, no detector needed. 8 Lincoln Memorial Cents. One 2006D Roosevelt dime. Found a dangly earring, a gold-plated on silver clasp, and a heavy bar clasp, maybe for a tie? Has a bunch of braided link strands at the end, like it may have been holding something.

Congrats on digging those cool pieces and thanks for cleaning out the junk/trash from that school. :occasion14: They just tore down the oldest school in town. It was originally built back in the mid 1800's and was added onto several times. I am hoping to find some treasure in the fill dirt they brought in and seeded with grass as soon as they remove the fences.

I didn't get that lucky when they tore up the cobble stones around our city hall...fenced out, and they paved it. :banghead:

The silver bar and bell looking piece of jewelry may be a belly button piercing. I think,
Congrats on getting out.

Yes, you do see an empty cartridge. About .30 caliber would be my guess. What it was doing in a grade school yard...

I find 'em all the time on school grounds and at tot lots.........live rounds, shell casings and spent lead rounds..........yesterday it was a live 9mm hollow point round 1 inch down in a curb strip at an elementary school.........
I been considering calling the local police to ask a few questions.............

Ya schools and at the beach (22's).
Wonder if maybe the parents or older sibs drop them or they fall out of the cars when they drop the kids at school. Up here they would get shoved up onto the curb maybe by a snow plow.

I think i have found a hollow point ( which i can get jail time for even possessing it) :(:what:
