:hello:Hi again,

Was it ever hot out there this morning8-)

potd-meltingicecreamtruck.jpg ..got in 2 hrs. of hunting before I started to melt.

Hunted only in rocky areas close to shoreline.

This ring ( I believe it is often respectfully referred to as a "Honker") ...was found nestled between several medium sized rocks about 6 " down....gave off a nice , solid high sound.

At first sight, I thought it was a heavy bolt, but on closer examination after pushing the heavy mud out of the center , I realized that it was a tarnished ring.

The stamping reads " Schubart 925". Mary Schubart ( Amityville , NY) is a relative newcomer to the jewelry business. She is a painter and a sculptor, and only recently began to produce jewelry.

Had never heard of this jeweler before..I believe it is considered "high end", but I could be wrong.

Here's pics of the finds

Thank you for looking

Keep cool!

Lorraine

If I wear a ring with that much weight it better be with "Glitzy" minerals in it! That looks like way too much weight to lug around, but that's what some people like and that's okay. To each his own . But anywho, good going for you Lorraine! That is a "Honker".

Congrats! That is the heaviest silver ring I have ever seen. Now wrap up the poor little paw on your kitty and she will be fine in a few days.

It's 7 3/4 ".

I like silver jewelry , too.

This ring reminds me of , I think they are called "lug nuts"...those things that keep car wheel covers on..and need to be removed with some type of twisting tool when changing a tire.
