You got to see this! Two silvers in...

I was hunting in old homesite when I dug a pocketknife. I was about to put it away when I noticed something strange on the blade. I rubbed it off and saw a silver reeded edge then another. I was able to see the date on one hand is a 1936 Merc. it really makes you scratch your head.

Nice find! My dad still carries an "Old Timer" knife that he's owned for years. It seems like every time he pulls it out of his pocket, it has a dime stuck in it, just like the one you found.

Yes I found it at DIV. I was primarily hunting with my MXT When I came upon a trashy house site. Since the truck was nearby I decided to get my Etrac out and look for silver amongst all of the iron. It did not disappoint. I count this as two silvers and will keep it as is. I only wish it was Civil War period. That would've been icing on the cake.

Very cool! I'd leave 'em in the knife as well. Merc dimes come along frequently. A find like that does not. VERY cool display piece!
