Well I’ve been cruising the local banks on my lunch hour each day. I never paid much attention to it but there’s like 27 banks in this town! Well my last stop was to open a new account and start ordering boxes from a nearby branch and while passing another bank that I’d been to a couple of weeks ago I decided to pop in and ask for halves again. The young teller said “I’ve only got 3 and one is really dirty, do you want the dirty one too?” I said “of course I do, it’s got character”. It was a 64 Kennedy that was tarnished. I quickly scanned the other teller’s tray and spied a bright shiny 64 Kennedy all alone in the $.50 slot. They really stick out when they’re clean. “I’ll take that one too please” and off I went rounding out a pretty good lunch hour. 2-90% and 4-40%. It’s not like one of LJ’s good days but it’s good for me. I’ll take those “dirty” 64’s all day long if given the chance.
