Got over some nice new ground
But not much was to be found
At least not by me
A different story for the "Z"

A couple of buttons he got
and plain they were not

After the silver he struck
He was off to the truck

The day it was done
as down went the sun

Pics., I got none
But I sure had some fun.

Seriously it was a super awesome day in the dirt, the potential was there as Dave said, the research, the location, and the permission went according to text book, but it also takes more than that. Dave did get some nice button things ? I'd like to see a pos. ID on them, and a Spanish, which is BTW the first of the year between us, so glad "WE" got one. I say we as we are somewhat of a team.

Have a safe trip.
See you when you get back
and hope the ground not hard then.

GOOD LUCK OUT THERE...EH ?

PS I did get one barely IDable copper, and two buttons, but nothing anyone wants to see.

Sounds like some very nice finds were made. It's just a big bonus to be digging into the middle of December.

@PJ yes it sure is a bonus to dig this time of year, and it looks like for the next two weeks the ground will not freeze. I will be out again...just hope I can get a bit better result...or a cool site pic. what ever comes first.

You certainly know how to rhyme...But you can't make killer finds all the time.
But as long as your buddy got some, and you were out in the sun,it was worth digging in the grit and grime..

It was a fantastic day Rick despite the meager finds, but we both know they all can't be Spanish Mountains, Frenchy Hills or Copper Mountains but they are all fun. Sure beats a day at the office.

No they can't all be spanish mountain, etc., but another good site will come, I'll bet on it.
And if the stuff was as easy to find as rocks (smiley) it wouldn't be much fun either.

Some days the relics just abound
And seem to jump straight from the ground
It's sad you found not even one
But don't despair your day will come.
