1982P Half Dollar - Gold and Stamped 1960-1980

Hello all,

While going through 2 skunk rolls of half dollars, I came across a 1982P Kennedy half dollar that is gold in color and has the date 1960 stamped over "In God" and 1980 over "We Trust".

Anyone have any info on this coin? Will post a picture if nobody has any ideas.

That's a privately defaced 1982 half dollar. It commemorates the 20th anniversary of Kennedy's win over Nixon in the 1960 Presidential election. A private company over-stamped "In God We Trust" with the years 1960 and 1980, then dipped the coin in gold leaf (not enough to add any value). Sorry, but it's worth 50 cents.
