For about 4 hours, we hit a known roman site, full of pottery, and interesting, how 90% of the terra sigilata was on the lower end of the hill, but the coins showed up on the medium to high section. Only my two coins, and one of my friend ( not in the pics).
1 really nice roman coin of Contantinus (more info will be welcome)
Bullion (mixed bronze and silver) coin from Alfonso VIII (1158 - 1214) is coins are also called "bienpeinado". (well combed)
One little button of Isabel II
A flat bronze ring

Nice finds Nutriasub!

Good finds.

Do you find that the Roman objects are on the edge of the coin scatter?

Thanks a lot for the comments!

Cru, not really, the ring was near the sigilata, but my friend found aairmof roman twicers, and they were next to his coin.
But please I would love to hear your theory

Very nice coins and great pictures:icon_thumright:

Wow, some very nice finds thats for sure.:icon_thumleft:

Nice finds there! Like the medieval Alfonso. Always a good sign to find Terra Sigillata. On my Villa Site the coins are where the shards are. Main building area. Terra Sigillata is over the complete field like the coins but much less than where the home stood.

Thanks guys for the answers!!

The pity is that this site has been heavily hunted, so we are just trying to find the last bits, which is always fun too, let's hope a little luck comes our way.

Here is Dads thoughts on the Roman:
Nutriasub’s coin is circa AD 354-361 (AE3 if circa 15-18mm or AE4 if less) of Constantius II as per SEARS(88) 4010. Obverse is: DN CONSTAN-TIVS PF AVG Diadem, Draped and Cuirassed bust right. Reverse is FEL TEMP REPARATIO Soldier advancing left, spearing fallen horseman. The mint mark in the exergue is not visible.

I think he missed that it looks to be a local imitation to me, the face & sideways 'S' point to a barborous issue.

Yes it would. & I'm 80% sure!

Cru'D:
Sorry I forgot to mention that the nice Roman of Nutriasub’s is barbarous as you pointed out. Another reason on the reverse is the horseman’s position, long arms and elongated 2 and a bit finger hand on the figure being speared (amongst other details). By Barbarous coin standards it is a very good attempt and in great condition – so maybe an officially local minted attempt?

That's fantastic, pleased my thanks to Cru Dad.
I love fake coins from previous eras, but to get a fake roman is even better!
Thanks
