I had a great time yesterday with a couple of good buddies. We all managed to sane some nice pieces of history (they did a little better than me). My favorite find is the U.S . Saddle/harness accoutrement. We started out at a site I've searched before & found a new, early site in the afternoon & hunted until dark. I had high hopes for the 2 piece button but after cleaning it's just civilian! It was a nice, cooler day with little humidity. Ready for Fall! Great finds! I'm also ready for Fall. The brass looks familiar but I can't place it. I'm sure someone will.

That heel plate is my favorite.
