I haven't posted for a long time but today was the first day out in 2020 with the old Scorpion. Lots of fun had swinging on the river banks in BC gold rush country. New trails for me, Im used to the Sask fur trade country but if the finds are going to be like this a guy cant complain. Any info anyone has is appreciated! Good luck hunting everyone. 20200303_163735.webp

Thats a line I would not want to be #37 in. Just reading and found out the "cash" coin is a Kangxi Tongbao minted in Xuanhua, in the province Zhili between the years 1661–1722. That interweb is something else.

Nice finds - congrats !

Looks like you found an old old "Miner's Tag" - see Google Images for info.
We live in coal mine country - I've found 9 or 10 of them - they clean up real nice !

Good Hunting !

Congrats on the nice old cash coin! I'm a fan of those coins due to the work it takes to identify them!

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Nice job on the relic and Chinese coin. :occasion14:

Great I'd on the coin that miners tag is really awesome keep hitting those trails wow that would be fun

Great find. the 康熙通宝 kangxi coins were considered to be well made. There is a story that some of those coins have gold in them. Later on in history many of the kangxi coins were melted to get the gold out (to make rings etc). Therefore there are not many of those coins left.
