Hunted the town formerly known as Uniontown with Jeff of PA and Bruce this morning. Decided I was gonna go for quality instead of quantity this morning....in other words I went to one of the trashiest areas and crawled along real slow. Covered a small area and dug a lot of pull tabs that sure could have been deep old nickels....but.....was able to pull one nice keeper from the trash!

In addition to about .50 cents in clad I found this beauty, a 1943 Walking Liberty Half Dollar. This is my second Walker this month!!

im dying to find one of those! scored my first "big" silver yesterday (1953 washington) not as sweet as urs though:icon_scratch:

She sure is pretty. I haven't crossed a walker off my list yet, but it's not for lack of trying. Nice dig!

DK, I plucked a 61 Rosie out of the trash today, just gotta be Patient, and Determined and Persistant, ahhh, you get the drift:laughing7: SWEET Walker man. God Bless Chris

thats a pretty lady right there!!! Nice find.

congratulations on the walker. I have been detecting since 1984 and have never found one, however, my son started detecting in May and has found 3 already. Two were in the last week. Just have to put your coil over one, I guess.

Nice !!!

Were you using your 6" nell?

schweeeet!! I love walkers :headbang:

Sweet hunk of silver !

Walkers are alway's nice.................HH

Nice big silver, I can't wait to find my first walker..

again Congrats Dave !
there is sure allot of those coming out the ground lately

Thanks all!

Coilfisher I don't have the NEL coil, I actually found my two walkers this month with the Sunray X-8 coil but I'm not sure I like the coil. The VDI numbers seem to be extremely skewed with this coil, this Walker hit a solid 3-25 in all directions both in and out of the ground, all other halves I have found have hit in the 8-48, 9-48 range. I changed back over to my 6x8 SEF coil later in the day and this Walker hit 9-47, 9-48......I'm thinking the Sunray coil might be having an issue.

Awesome job Dave. She is a beauty.

Awesome find Dave!!!!!! I have the same issue with my sharpshooter coil, numbers are all over the place, while it's found me nice items, i'm beginning to dislike it's inconsistency.
something with the etracs I wonder?

Great coin. How could anyone not like that.

Hey Den.....yeah, inconsistency is a good word for what I'm experiencing with this coil. I hunted a site in Lancaster county last weekend and for about an hour I just kept thinking it was too quiet so I changed over to the 6x8 SEF and all of a sudden the ground was alive. Not sure if it's an Etrac issue though......the coil was made for the EX and E series......I might give it another run at site I haven't used it at yet but I don't know if it's a keeper.
