I saw all the hair pins and thought you can't be using an Excal. But if it don't beep you never know what it is. I just got tired of digging those deep holes for trash. Sand Shark finds it all. You should try the Clean Sweep Coil for it.

I use the Shark exclusively on the beaches. Sure, I dig my fair share of the trash. I'm actually used to it and have a quick recovery time. If I didn't dig the trash, I would lose a large amount of my finds, expecially when it comes to the "skinny" gold. I've seen the CS coil --- just looks like it would teeter in the surf so i've stayed away from it.
