Stopped by 2 banks yesterday and asked for halves. First bank had 1 roll and $4.50 in loose change. No keepers. Second bank had $900.00 worth of halves which I purchased. These were mostly hand rolled, and I noticed a lot of writing on them as the teller was putting them in a box for me and the others ( about $150.00) were wrapped by the feds. I think these were some that were saved by someone for years as the wrappers were aged and had been marked with the dates enclosed or as Bicenntenial. Averaged 1 40%er per $300.00 dollars and 1 2001 s proof. Needless to say they won't be rewrapped with as much care.

Sounds almost like the rolls I picked up yesterday. I think they were part of somebodys collection, the rolls were numbered.
And same thing with the rolls of Ikes. 4 rolls were all Bicentennials, wrapped in old wrappers.
