This winter has been great so far up here in the north east and I've been able to steal time here and there to visit some of my favorite fields. With a little less than an hour before dark I went to a section of a small field I had pulled five colonial buttons from the day before. When I don't have alot of time I tend to move slowly on a small area working faint targets. This was a deep 10"+ faint signal but with great numbers. When I finally found this cut coin I was surprised to see that It was a large cent. I've never pulled a clipped penny. Then I saw the Indian and bow as well as the eagle foot on the reverse . I've been lucky enough to have dug two very nice Mass penny's in nearby fields.
