1 cent stamp, anyone have any info on it?

I found this stamp in my grandpa's drawer. I know absolutely nothing about stamps so any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it is one stamp in the Columbian Exposition Issue of 1893. More than a dozen denominations were issued (all with different images), ranging from your one cent stamp to a $5 stamp. It's a 'common' stamp (classified as 'Scott 230') and loaded with history; both its own and, no doubt, what your grandpa might say about he getting it.
