1 gold, 10 silvers, and a decorative brass box!

Got out today to a local beach. Thought it was nearing the end of its productive life, but guess not! Ended with

Sterling hoop earring
3 sterling religious pendants
6 silver coins (4 mercs, 1 WTN, 1 Washington)
3 buffalo nickels
3 junk rings
1 gold initial ring
bunch of wheat cents

Also got a decorative brass box. Any idea what it was used for? Age?

Hoping to get back there soon!
