Picked these up at a local thrift this afternoon after a holiday party. Cool Accutron Harvard watch, sweet little universal geneve, and a met museum watch.
This particular thrift sorts watches into $1, $5, $15 and “custom”. They seem to price based on how new/nice the watch looks. So a QVC Honora in the box will be priced at $35. Seikos they price high as well as any new looking watch. But anything else goes to the $1 bin - where i got these 3.
The accutron is a quartz (eta 955) - they seem to go for $40-$100 used on ebay and etsy. Do you think the Harvard bit will boost or hurt the value?
The UNI GENEVE i’m hoping to get $75 even though i’m sure someone paid a ridiculous amount for it 20 years ago. The met watches seem to trade around $18. I’ll just keep that one.
