I got down to the beach about 6 a.m. Earlier than my usual than my 10 a.m. start. I was supposed to meet up with Mighty Mouse but he was unable to make it. He was still recovering from some dental work, bummer. Oh well, the show must go on. I went from 6 a.m. until I got in the car at just before 5:30 p.m. I saw 7 or 8 other MDers while I was there. The one guy was there with his wife. He was detecting and she was digging. She was using a small digging tool and a plastic spaghetti strainer LOL. It was funny because before I got my first sand scoop that's what I used. Hey, at least the guy got his wife out there with him. My wife has no interest in MDing at all. Anyway I took $8.05 in clad from the beach. 15 quarters, 30 dimes, 15 nickels and 55 pennies including a 1956 wheatie. I also found a 1995 20 pence piece and a souvenir penny. The gold and diamond and emerald piece is not gold or diamond or emerald. My happy dance was cut short. No matter, I had a great time that's good enough for me. Maybe that slacker Mighty Mouse will show up next time LOL.
