Detector(s) used
Minelab Etrac / Garrett Pro-Pointer
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
Its been an unusually warm October here in the UK and at long last I managed to get a few long-waited-for days by the sea. Not a metal-detecting holiday as I'd liked as I was travelling with a non-detectorist and other plans were made but I managed to slip the machine in the boot of the car with the luggage and was allowed to get it out an odd hour here and there!

This was the first time I'd taken the E-trac on the beach and he loved it - much better behaved than Mr. Lobo - In water, on wet sand and dry it just performed as if I was on my own pasture fields - Thank you Minelab.

I wasn't expecting anything old as there was far too much sand build up from the year's tides (I must go back when they scrape it all off).
Plenty of modern money for the beer fund - totalling £10.38:

a few buttons:

including one military button:

2 toy cars and other stuff:

Plenty of Lead Fishing Weights:

and even more Fishing Weights that would have caused great pain to adults let alone children if they were walked on barefoot:

On one occasion I bumped into a local man (his territory) - told me he did the beach most days. Usually found 2ps and 5ps - I think he was annoyed when I showed him the £2 coin and £1 pound coins I'd just found.

The break did me good, next time I'll try and time it for when the beaches have been scraped down a couple of feet and make it an exclusive Metal Detecting Holiday!
Stick of rock anyone? :icon_sunny:

Nicely done ;D I'd take that money and invest it in a speckled hen or three at the local pub.
As for the other guy..... Well...... Haters gonna hate :(

LOL, dang young people with their new aged equipment, BAH :D

nice job! He'll get over it.....or maybe he'll set out some more of those ugly foot spikes for you

Awesome finds ! ! :tongue3:

Nice haul.
Those deadly sinkers are for surf fishing they're called breakout sinkers.

Guiness mate! I'm a Guiness drinker! :occasion14: I can get just over 4 pints with that!

Kindly tell Lt. Columbo the beach is big enough for the both of you.
Always wondered where he retired to, now we know.

I always enjoy your post's David. It's good to see the British finds with out all the boasting that comes from most other ones.

Nice finds friend

Excellent finds David and thanks for removing
those spiked sinkers off the beach......they could
really hurt if someone stepped on them barefooted.
Hope you post your results again after some of the
sand is removed from that site.....HH
Gold Nuggets :hello:

Must have been strong tides to push that Canadian RCMP car over to your neck of the woods!

Oh - that's where its come from, I did wonder. That beach in North Wales isn't too far from Canada - straight line across the Atlantic ;D

Good finds. As for your traveling mate, who did not detect, well the less Guinness for them.

Cheers! :occasion14:
