Okay guys an old parade field is right behind my house and with permission I was able to dig out the last two months. here all the buttons that I found in the field. The field is only 200 meters x 100 meters so pretty small considering . I do have a question about one that I found today. it's circular with a screw-on back and it has a sprocket surrounding a hammer and a quill I will post the picture any help is welcome and appreciated. I found only one or two pictures of it online but no information of what unit would have worn something like this. I still have one more 50 x 50 meter area to do tomorrow then move on to another field right next to it. There is so much iron in the field and so many old military parts that it's hard to find things without having to dig 20 holes per find. Very odd that I've only ever found stinkin Lincoln's and a few wheats there and no silver coins only a belt buckle. All things pictured have been found in the same field. I almost felt like this field was holding my metal detecting adventures back but I couldn't stop going back for the finds 0407162105d.webp0407162105c.webp0322161939b.webp0405161807a.webp0407162107.webp0324162334.webp

very nice finds

killer :icon_thumright: Congrats!

Found out the collar disc that I was wondering about with the hammer and quill is from the service Corps it's World War 1. I've read that it was the school's Detachment that wore it it also seems to be one of the more valuable ones

Congratz on some very cool relics!
