Hey all,

Wow. What a day. Couldn't get arrested on my last outing. Today I was killing them. Was supposed to go out with a buddy of mine from this forum. He couldn't make it, so, I did what all good pals do.....I went without him :). I was really creaming my pants to hit this new spot.

Anyways, the are 4 parts to the old park. I was looking for a certain section. When I pulled up, it looked really small. I said, this can't be it. Looked good though, so, thought I would give it a shot. Glad I did.

Found a ton of clad as you'll see in the pics, a terrific silver broach that broke off a necklace (definately getting that one fixed), a cheap ring (nice looking though and fits me perfect), a charm holder from a necklace, what I though was a gold or silver nugget (I had a heart attack when I first saw it - you would've laughed), a tag or emblem from the township of Stafford here in NJ, and my best find in quite a while - a $10 coin from Hong Kong. It is from 1994. The deal is, the Hong Kong government wanted to replace the $10 bill. So, in 1993, they changed the bill to the $10 coin. They stopped production in 1997 and went back to the bills, so, the coin is kinda, sorta rare-ish. Little monetary value, but, my coolest find in a bit. The flower on the back is a bauhinia blakeana. They sure do make some fine looking money there :)

All in all, had a TERRIFIC day. Why can't everyday be like that?!?! And here are the best parts, very little junk for some reason. Was almost shocked. In one of the holes I dug, got a real nice mini spill with 3 quarters, 2 dimes and a penny. SWEEEEEET! Finally, towards the end of the day, 2 cop cars pulled up. Thought I was gonna have to end my awesome hunt. NOT!!!! Seems they were visiting a family barbecue. They were eating hot dogs and drinking soft drinks a couple hundred feet away.....and watching me hunt!!!! Hope you all had a great day too. I will be hitting that spot again soon.

P.S. - Seems someone threw out an old clock. I found a big chunk of it, but, will post it some other time.

Some banks take foreign currency, in trade for U.S

US$1:HK$7.75–7.85 (May 2005 onwards). The ten dollar coin is the highest circulation coin issued in Hong Kong, The coin is composed of a copper nickel rim and nickel brass plug. Current (US) value today as a circulating coin is about US$1.29. Interesting find; congrats.

Unfortunately though, most won't take coins, just paper currency and only if you have an account with them. I used to be a bank teller.
